Product Description:
Rohde & Schwarz, Inc. FSH323 Handheld spectrum analyzer 100 kHz - 3 GHz, RBW 100 Hz - 1 MHz color LCD display, tracking gen., preamp (P/N 1145.5850.23)
The Rohde & Schwarz, Inc. FSH323 spectrum analyzer is a wide band, very sensitive receiver. It works on the principle of "super-heterodyne receiver" to convert higher frequencies (normally ranging up to several 10s of GHz) to measurable quantities. The received frequency spectrum is slowly swept through a range of pre-selected frequencies, converting the selected frequency to a measurable DC level (usually logarithmic scale), and displaying the same on the CRT of the Rohde & Schwarz, Inc. FSH323. The CRT displays received signal strength (y-axis) against frequency ( x-axis).
Some applications for Rohde & Schwarz, Inc. FSH323 Spectrum Analyzers include Site Monitoring: Verify that the frequency and signal strength of your transmitter is accurate. Interference: Before a system is installed you use a Rohde & Schwarz, Inc. FSH323 spectrum analyzer to verify that the frequencies (you plan to use) are not occupied or if the presence of a very strong signal will interfere with your new setup. Interference can be created by a number of different situations. Other tests that utilize the Rohde & Schwarz, Inc. FSH323 spectrum analyzer features include antenna isolation, co-channel interference, adjacent channel power, occupied bandwidth, intermodulation, microwave or satellite antenna alignment, and characterization of components.
The FSH is the ideal spectrum analyzer for rapid, high-precision, cost-effective signal investigations. It provides a large number of measurement functions and so can handle anything from the installation or maintenance of a mobile radio base station up to on-site fault location in RF cables as well as development and service -an extensive range of applications. Due to its excellent characteristics, the FSH is used on board the International Space Station (ISS) for distance-to-fault measurements on RF antenna cables. The FSH3 model 23 adds new features and furthermore excels the RF characteristic of the standard version model 13. With filter bandwidths down to 100 Hz it ensures high frequency resolution to detect closely spaced signals. The built-in pre-amplifier meets customers' claims for highest sensitivity (displayed average noise floor: typ. -135 dBm) - a must for the detection of weak signals. Another standard option of this model is the tracking generator with increased power output (0dBm).
